It'll definitely be interesting to see how this plays out for certain teams. As you mentioned, the Oiler's young group have all been playing together and at a high level. Where as teams like the Bolts and Canucks have a lot of players who've only been practising.

Nucks core have team chemistry like the Bolts, but we've got a lot fewer new faces.

The Bolts went further with less during the ECF run 2 years ago. In the playoffs anything can happen and with the Bolts system and the veteran leadership if this team makes the playoffs they could just as easily make another run as they could be bumped in the 1st round.

While chemistry will be important at start of short season, injuries to critical players will be more important during the season.

Looking forward to attending a few games after a senseless delay.

Daymond Langkow should be brought home.

KHL (Russia)
Ufa 1 vs. Dynamo Moscow 0
Andrey Vasilevskiy, Ufa, Win, SO, 25/25, 0.00 GAA, 1.000 sv%
Season totals (KHL): 3 GP, 1-0-0, 1 SO, 0.00 GAA, 1.000 sv%
Season totals (MHL): 24 GP, 18-6-0, 2 SO, 1.97 GAA, .929 sv%
As if posting a shutout in his first KHL start of the season wasn't impressive enough, Andrey Vasilevskiy (pictured) also had the primary assist on the game's only goal in Ufa's 1-0 win over Dynamo Moscow. Vasilevskiy is fresh off his Bronze Medal winning performance with Russia in the U20 World Junior Championships. Ufa faces St. Petersburg next on Thursday.

with JT brown injured i wonder who will get a shot to make the team. obviously connolly now becomes a lock to round out the top 6. then our bottom 6 will be made up of tyrell, thompson, hall, crombeen, pyatt, pouliot. iffy but all very hard workers so we will see.

i think with brown hurt they just leave him in the minors this season. possibly bring him up for the playoffs and obviously the first injury call up.

i cant wait for vasilevski to get over here. i think janus will backup lindback next season. then tik and vasilevski will play in the AHL. then the following year tik comes up to backup lindback and vasilevski takes over in the AHL

Vasilevski can't join Syracuse until he's 20. He'll either spend another year in Russia or end up in the CHL (juniors), but yeah he's freaking awesome.

No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 1 @ No. 1 Minnesota Golden Gophers 4
G Adam Wilcox, MIN: Win, 22 saves on 23 shots, *Second Star*
Season totals: 18 GP, 13-2-2, 1.60 GAA, .929 sv%, 3 SO
Adam Wilcox was named second star on Tuesday night as he backstopped the No. 1 Golden Gophers to a big win over a top-2 team for the second game in a row. The Gophers defeated the visiting No. 2 Irish, 4-1, taking a 2-0 lead early, adding some insurance to make it 3-1, then finishing up with an empty net goal late. Last week they beat then-No. 1 Boston College, 8-1. Wilcox continues to be one of the best stories in the WCHA this year. He has made 17 consecutive starts for Minnesota, who is now ranked No. 1. He wasn’t at his absolute best on Tuesday night, as the shot that beat him was a rolling puck that entered the crease and bounced over his laid-down paddle and through his legs. He made up for it later with a full-extension toe save on a breakaway attempt by Notre Dame. Minnesota plays two against Alaska-Anchorage this weekend before they meet their rivals, North Dakota, in two weeks.

I am really liking our goalie prospects.
